The 2023 Ford F-150 Lighting comes standard with two electric motors and all-wheel drive. The motors combine for an impressive 452 horsepower, but the extended-range battery can bump it to 580 horse with 775 pound-feet of torque. The handling, steering, and braking are smooth for an electric truck of its size.

Tech and Safety

The Lightning comes standard with a large, 12.0-inch display with Ford's Sync 4 software. Higher trims come with a bigger 15.0-inch display with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. There are several standard safety features, including automated braking, lane-departure warnings, and lane-keep assist.

Design

There are four different trims on the 2023 Ford F-150 Lighting. The lineup is the Pro, XL, Lariat, and Platinum. Each trim offers more upgrades to the battery, interior, and exterior finishes. The exterior is sleek, with a full-width LED bar for a futuristic look. The interior is spacious and comfortable, with nearly 44 inches of rear legroom.
