Performance

You'll enjoy smooth acceleration and excellent fuel economy with the standard 2.5L full hybrid engine and Continuously Variable Transmission. If you prefer, you can also opt for the available 2.0 L engine that produces 250 hp and 277 lb.-ft. of torque. Its maximum pulling capacity with the available trailer tow package is 4,000 pounds.

Front-wheel drive is standard but if you want maximum traction, you can opt for all-wheel drive. Choose from Drive modes that include Normal, Tow/Haul, Eco, Slippery, Sport, Sand, and Mud & Ruts, depending on the trim level you choose.

Exterior

The Multiposition Tailgate adapts to your carrying needs with three options, In the closed position, it is available with a lock or a power lock as well as a theft protection hinge. In the mid-position, you can carry longer materials as cargo. Finally, in the open position, you can use the tailgate as a work surface or a party gathering spot. Add factory-installed LED Box Lighting, so you can continue loading or unloading at night. Two 12 V pre-wired connections supply power for LED lights or a mini-fridge. Also available are two 400 W 110 V outlets that enable you to plug in your tool, work lights, or electric bike. Storage on the sides of the bed has room for smaller tools and equipment.

 

Interior

The 2022 Ford Maverick accommodates up to five passengers in two rows. Under the rear seat is standard storage for your more valuable equipment or sports gear. The doors also have pockets for beverages or accessories. You also get a storage compartment in the center console. When you want to bring in more air or light, power open the available moonroof.

 

When you want to drive more comfortably, you can power-adjust the driver's seat in up to eight ways, including lumbar support. You can stay cozy in the winter with available heated seats and a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel. You can integrate your compatible smartphone into the infotainment system. While you're still on the highway, you can then make phone calls, read or send text messages, and download selected apps. Driver-Assist Technology guards your trips with several features.

·         Pre-Collision Assist looks at the road ahead of you and lets you know if you're about to hit the vehicle, bicycle, or pedestrian in your path. If you do not respond appropriately or in time, Automatic Emergency Braking can prevent an accident.

·         The Rearview Camera activates automatically as soon as you go into reverse. You can then see what's happening behind you. If a vehicle starts to cross your reverse path, Cross-Traffic Alert let you know.

·         The Lane-Keeping System tells if your truck is drifting across the road without a turn signal.

·         Adaptive Cruise Control puts you at a safe distance from the car in front of you by adjusting speed through Stop-and-Go. Its Lane Centering Feature helps to keep your truck centered between lanes at all times.

·         The Auto High Beam Headlamps automatically come on under poor lighting conditions and can switch between high beams and low when they detect the approach of another vehicle.
